Unpaginated, illustrated boards, cloth spine, color illustrations, dust jacket, minor wear to edges, jacket lightly chipped along corners and spine ends, very minor closed tears, name in ink on front paste down, very good. Later printing, signed by illustrator Leonard Weisgard on verso of ffep, with hand drawn illustration accompanying signature. Golden MacDonald was a pen name of Margaret Wise Brown (1910-1952), a well known author of many popular children's books. Leonard Weisgard (1916-2000) was an American illustrator best known for his collaborations with Brown, notably The Noisy Book and The Little Island.
