The report of the State Commission to erect monuments on the Gettysburg battlefield indicating the position of Ohio units which participated in the battle. Contains half-tone photos of the monuments and descriptions of their location. Also contains a description of the battle by Alfred Lee, Secretary of the Commission. "The text has been thorough revised and such additions have been made to it as are justified by the transactions of the Commission subsequent to its first publication. Excepting those additions the report remains the same." It is interesting the Daniel Ryan who authored civil War Literature of Ohio in 1911 had been elected Ohio's Secretary of State in 1889 and as such became a member of the commission.
